6. INSTALLATION OF THE INDOOR UNIT
Requirements
- Drain pipe must be thermally insulated.
- The connection between drain pipe and indoor unit must be isolated so
as to prevent the formation of condensation.
- Drain pipe must be tilted downwards (with an inclination of more than
1/100). The central part must not be of siphon type, to prevent anoma-
lous sounds.

- Be careful not to apply Outdoor force on the drain pipe connection.
- The length of the drain pipe must be less than 20 m. In the case of
longer tubes, supports must be provided every 1.5 - 2 m to prevent
undulations.
- The pipes must be arranged as shown in the figure.

When the relative humidity of the inlet air or ambient air exceeds 80%,
apply an auxiliary drain pan (not supplied) under the indoor unit as
shown below.
If you have to provide for the condensate drain pipes for more than one
indoor unit, place the common pipe about 100 mm below the condensate
drain hole of each unit.

Precautions for the raised condensate drain pipe
The difference in level of the condensate drain pipe must be less than
850 mm. Provision is made to give an inclination of 1 ° ~ 2 ° to the eva-
cuation tube towards the discharge direction.
If the evacuation tube is fixed at a right angle, the height of the lifting
tube must be less than 850 mm
Note:
• The height of the inclination of the exhaust pipe must be within 75 mm
so that the outlet of the drain pipe is not subjected to Outdoor force.
