Make a VPN connection in Windows
Before you can setup an connection you will need the WAN IP-address of your
connection. Go to http://www.eminent-online.com/ip to check your WAN IP-address.
Through the following instructions you can make a connection in Windows with the
router.
1. Go to Start, Control Panel, Network Connections.
2. Click in the left menu on “Make a new connection”.
3. The Wizard new connection will be started, click “Next”.
4. Choose the second option and click “Next”.
5. Choose “VPN Connection” and click “Next”.
6. Give a name to the connection in the field “Corporate Name”. Then click “Next”.
7. Fill in the “WAN IP” of your connection and click “Next”.
8. Click “Finish” to close the Wizard.
9. Now there will be displayed a new window where you will fill in the username and
password. Fill these out according to the data you have set earlier in the router.
10. Now click on Connect.
11. Windows will try to connect. If this succeed you will get a new icon in your system
tray bar. Also in the window Network Connections you can see that the connection
is made.
The VPN connection is now configured. If the connection does not work then please
check the following:

Check your firewall and anti-virus program. The VPN connection must be allowed.
•
Keep in mind that the IP range of your VPN connection does not conflict with the
network where the connection is made to.
