Carefully turn the partially assembled ceiling fan over and
place it on the styrofoam for final preparation (Figure 5). 

NOTE: Be extra careful not to bend the ceiling fan

blades while turning the fan over onto the styrofoam.

NOTE: If using a longer accessory downrod, discard

the supplied 4.5" downrod and install the longer

downrod (sold separately) using the following

instructions.

Remove the hanger ball by loosening the setscrew in the
hanger  ball  until  the  ball  falls  freely  down  the  downrod
(Figure 6).

Remove  the  pin  from  the  downrod,  then  remove  the
hanger ball. 

Retain  the  pin  and  hanger  ball  for  reinstallation  in  Step
3.15.

NOTE: Do not loosen the screw holding the green

ground wire.

Separate, untwist and unkink the two 80” motor leads.

Route  the  80”  black  and  white  motor  leads  through  the
downrod (Figure 7).
