Hints for freezing
• When first starting-up or after a period not in use. Run the appliance for at least 2 hours
on the higher settings before putting food in the compartment.
• Prepare food in small portions to enable it to be rapidly and completely frozen and so
that it is subsequently possible to defrost only the quantity required.
Wrap the food up in aluminium foil or polyethylene (plastic) and make sure that the
packages are airtight.
• Do not allow fresh, unfrozen food to touch food that is already frozen, thus avoiding a
rise in the temperature of the latter.
• Iced products, if consumed immediately after removal from the freezer compartment, can
potentially cause skin to become freeze burned.
• It is recommended that each frozen package is labelled and dated in order to keep track
of the storage period.
