Your new appliance at a glance
a) The control panel
Every actuation of a button is verified by an audible acknowledgement signal. Please activate
the buttons with your fingertips only for damages to be avoided.
b) Initial use
Place the appliance on a heat-resistant, stable and flat working surface (non-metallic) and do
not operate it in the proximity of other sources of heat (electric stove, gas flame etc.). The space
above the appliance must be free. The distance to any wall must be at least 10 cm. Unhindered
air circulation has to be ensured.
Connect the appliance to the power supply. There will be a short audible signal and the red
LED display for operating mode will glow. The fan initiates a short function test and then the
appliance is in the stand-by mode. The display shows the current state of plate temperature
(residual heat indicator):
L
low) for temperatures below 50 °C or
H (hot) for temperatures exceeding 50 °C.
c) Switching on
Place a suitable cooking utensil in the middle of the cooking surface and touch the main switch
until there is an audible signal. Now the appliance is ready for use, what is verified by the
operating mode’s three LED displays flashing up. Now you can choose between setting the
power, the temperature or the time. Having pressed any of those buttons, the LED display
“POWER” will glow permanently and the appliance will start operation at power level 1300 W.
If there is no further input within 60 seconds after having started the operating mode, the
appliance will automatically switch over to the stand-by mode.
d) Pot recognition
If there is no recognition of a suitable cookware on the cooktop after switch-on, the display will
indicate “----“, accompanied by a periodical audible warning signal.
If there is no pot recognition within 15 seconds, the appliance will automatically switch over to
the stand-by mode.
In the event a pot is removed from the cooktop during use, the display will indicate “----“,
accompanied by a periodical audible warning signal. Re-placing a pot within 15 seconds will
cause the cooking plate to resume operation at the level last set, while any operating time
possibly set before will continue to count down.
Provided there is no pot recognition within 15 seconds, the appliance will automatically switch
over to the stand-by mode.
