Trilinear filtering –
This is a mixture of
bilinear filtering and MIP mapping.

TrueColor –
A graphic display mode
with 16.7 Mill. colors (24 or 32-bits per
pixel). The value stored in the video RAM
is not translated but is passed directly to
the D/A converter. This means that the
full color information must be saved for
each pixel.

VESA –
Abbreviation for Video
Electronics Standards Association. A
consortium for standardizing computer
graphics.

VRAM –
Abbreviation for Video RAM. A
module for upgrading the memory on a
graphics board to display higher
resolutions and color depths.

Z-buffer –
The 3D depth information of a
pixel (the position in the 3rd dimension).
