Using in Connection with External Devices
Attaching an External Microphone to the Recorder
When attaching an external microphone to the
recorder, turn OFF the power supply to the recorder
beforehand.

Remove the rubber cover.
Remove the cover from the external microphone terminal on the
top of the recorder.

Attach the microphone.
Connect the connection plug (only of
φ
3.5mm mini-plug-shaped)
of the microphone with the external microphone input terminal of
the recorder.
※
The recorder unit supports plug-in-power system.
※ Confirm on the recorder ’ s display LCD monitor that the
external microphone is connected.

Start recording.( Î P29)
※ When an external microphone is connected, the built-in
microphone cannot be used.
This does not guarantee the normal operation of any
external microphones.
When connecting the audio output device to the AV
output terminal in sound recording, the sound is
output in real time. (

When pin No.8 of the camera connector is occupied by the
built-in camera microphone and an external microphone is
connected, the external microphone supersedes the built-in
camera microphone.
