10 POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT BOARD CONNECTIONS
Note: In the event of power failure, the battery should be disconnected in order to prevent it from deteriorating if
the voltage falls below 10.6V.
1 0.5 A battery jumper
Install the jumper wire when using batteries of 7 Ah or greater.
Note: The current limit for battery charging is 0.5 A. Without the jumper wire, the
charging current limit is 0.25 A.
2 Battery connector
Use a red/black cable to connect to the backup battery.
3 V-Test jumper
When inserted in position 1-2 it enables the 5V, 9V and 13.8V power supply LEDs
to light up. Return to rest position 2-3 after testing.
The 4th LED, for the "Mains" supply, is always on when the circuit board is
powered by the transformer, but goes off when the battery intervenes.
4 Heater fuse
A 5 A delayed fuse in normally installed to protect the heater circuits.
5 Circuit fuse
A 0.8 A delayed fuse is normally installed to protect the TX/RX and infrared
circuits.
6 J7
The jumper can be used to force the 24Vac power supply for the heaters,
regardless of the temperature measured in the barrier.
