INTRODUCTION
The RealTour B+ is an electronic unit designed
for indoor cycling training & testing that con-
nects to a PC (Windows) or a mobile app for
devices such as smartphones or tablets.
The integrated "ANT+" and "Bluetooth Smart"
protocols interact wirelessly with PCs and mobi-
le devices, with no additional components
necessary for RealTour B+ compatibility with
most devices.
RealTour B+ supports ANT+ FE-C, an interactive
protocol developed for hometrainers to read
speed and cadence data and to adjust resistance.
Other protocols allow only one-way data transfer
and no interaction with the hometrainer.
Moreover, the ANT+ FE-C protocol is “open” - it
allows the hometrainer to run all the software
that supports it. This means that you can freely
choose the software that best suits your needs
to use with the RealTour B+.
Please check the ANT+ site (http://www.thisisant.
com/directory) for a complete list of apps/softwa-
re compatible with the ANT+ FE-C protocol.
Note : Not all computers/devices have integra-
ted ANT+ connectivity and they may require an
additional component. RealTour B+ includes an
ANT+ USB dongle that allows PCs with Windows
software, as well as many devices with Android,
to connect to the hometrainer.
Many devices (phones and tablets) with
Bluetooth Smart Ready connectivity can connect
to the ELITE My E-Training app without additio-
nal components by using the phone/tablet's
Bluetooth Smart channel.
Here’s a list of compatible devices:
• iPad 3 or newer
• iPhone 4S or newer
• iPod Touch 5th gen or newer
• Android 4.3 and Bluetooth 4.0 devices
Please refer to the instructions included with your
device for a detailed explanation of its features.
Your device's compatibility can be tested at
http://configuro.elite-it.com, which also inclu-
des a list of required additional devices (should
one be needed).
SOFTWARE INSTRUCTIONS
This manual does not give any instructions regar-
ding use of the programme. A complete guide to
using the programme is given in the programme
Help.
To access the Help guide it is necessary to install
the programme. The instructions for installing the
programme are given in the section “Use of
RealTour B+
with the computer – Programme
installation”.
After installing the programme, the Help guide can
be accessed in two different ways:
• press button F1 on the keyboard;
• select “Help – Help Contents” from the
programme menu.
WIRELESS
This roller makes use of wireless ANT data
transmission technology, which allows the
RealTour B+ programme to communicate with
the roller without a cable and using only a USB
ANT key for connecting to the PC.
Radio communication uses the frequency of
2.4Ghz.
SLOPE
The maximum slope that can be simulated also
varies according to speed and weight. In fact,
the power required in order to overcome a
climb depends on the speed at which you
approach the climb (the quicker you are, the
more power you develop) as well as on your
weight (the heavier you weigh, the more power
you need to develop to overcome a climb).
Whenever a situation requires more than the
maximum power, RealTour B+ goes on provi-
ding the maximum power therefore you will not
feel any further increase in resistance.
