
5. If the belt "flaps" against the lower conveyor
cover, increase
overall
belt tension by continu-
ing adjustment steps on both sides of the
upper conveyor roll.
6. If alignment does not need adjusting, tighten
the jam nuts.
BELT ALIGNMENT
Proper belt alignment will require making small
adjustments to the upper roll as outlined below. As
a result, upper conveyor roll take-ups may not have
equal final adjustments.
In some cases, adjusting the upper roll may not be
sufficient to keep the belt centered on both rolls. It
may be necessary to make similar adjustments to
the lower roll.
