connected. When working in the multi-channel mode Two panels X may have the value: 0, 1. In this mode,
after switching on the supply, the panels automatically decide which panel is connected to channel 0 and
which to 1.
In the absence of connection or in case of other problems with communication, after completion of the
test, the following message appears:
„CHANNEL ERROR”. Check whether the modules of the system are correctly connected, in case of operating
in the multi-entry system in the OP-H4MS mode one should additionally note whether the communication
module channel which the panel is connected to is activated (see „OP-H4MS four-channel communication
module, installation manual ”).
Activate installation mode
Activation of auxiliary mode during the system test.
The installation mode allows the fitter to establish connection from the handset level. Upon activation of
the installation mode, all functions of the panel operate within normal mode, however it is possible to
additionally establish connection from the handset level. To establish the connection:

Pick up the handset receiver
§
Push the electric lock button three times (at intervals 200-600 ms), at this moment the panel starts
searching the whole existing range of handsets numeration (see clause 5.1.2)
§
Wait for short sound signal confirming handset recognition
§
After the signal, put down the receiver - after a while, the panel starts dialling
Because of the Installation mode fitter is able to check the basic functions of the system alone, establishing
connections from individual handsets.
To activate
Installation mode :
§
Enter the menu Settings ( code )
§
Select Service programs (confirm with „ ”)
§
Select Activate installation mode (confirm with „ ” )
§
Message informing about current setting appears (YES or NO), to change, press
„ ”
§
Message appears „SWITCH TO”, and using the arrows (up or down) select the required setting and
confirm with ”.
Having left the menu Settings operation of the Installation mode is signalled with an icon in the
right top corner of display. Installation mode deactivates automatically after about 3 h.

When working in the multi-entry mode, activation of the installation mode is only possible from
the panel connected to channel 0. To check which channel the panel is connected to, activate the
function
Settings->Service programs->Communication test (see 5.1.8)
5.1.3 Firmware Version
panel displays actual installed version of firmware.
