The last four VistaGRAPHX 5000 function menus display or alter overall system
parameters.
Use the checkboxes and pull-down lists in this menu to alter communications to
and from the projector. Refer to the "Using Slidebars and Other Controls"
subsection if you need help. Changes made to the Communications menu will be saved
when you exit the menu (press

This setting determines the speed of communications when you are
controlling the projector with an external device such as a
computer or another projector via an RS-232 or RS-422 port. The
projector baud rate must be set to match the baud rate of the
controlling device (default = 9600). If you are unsure about what
baud rate to assign, refer to the documentation for the controlling device.
NOTES: 1) The baud rate setting does not affect the switcher port, which
remains at 9600. 2) See 2.9, Serial Port Connections and Appendix D for more
information about cable connections between devices.

An IR remote keypad is either a Protocol "C" keypad (the original setting at
manufacture) or a Protocol "D" keypad. Either protocol may or may not be
recognized by the two sensors on the projector (front and
back), depending on what option you choose here. If the two
sensors are both on, they will recognize the same protocol
(either Vista C or Vista D) — changing an option for one
sensor automatically changes the other to match. If you want
only one sensor to respond to a particular protocol (either
Vista C or Vista D), disable the other sensor by setting its
protocol to OFF.
