So the modems are able to provide via the cable television network different services: Internet
access, video and IP telephony (VoIP). To ensure the integrity within a complex network, the
Clients cannot communicate among themselves, but only with the related Master.
1.3 General

Data transfer at 200 Mbps (gross rate) resp. up to 85 Mbps (net rate) via the coaxial
cable television network

Use of standard Ethernet protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, ...)

Easy connection of terminal equipment to the physical ports (RJ45-socket, F-socket,
TAE socket)

No driver installation required
•
High security thanks to the encrypted transmission and the avoidance of peer-to-peer
traffic within the ELCONnect coax system (no user / end customer access to ELCON-
nect coax devices (own / external Clients or Masters) within one and the same seg-
ment
