A properly functioning wireless network for the XP8.4 consists of:
One or more XP8.4s
•
An ELAN Zone SS1 System Station for each XP8.4
•
A Router
•
A Wireless Access Point (WAP)
•
The Router and WAP may be combined into a single device.

Router
A router is a computer networking device that forwards data to its proper
destination and connects two or more networks together. Routers typically
connect home networks to the Internet. Wireless Routers that combine the
functions of a Router and WAP are popular options for home networks.
