Cleaning
The outside of all helmet parts must be cleaned after each use. Do not use solvents!
Wash all parts carefully in lukewarm water using EKASTU cleaning material (order no.: 266 962) with the aid of a soft bottle brush if necessary.
Rinse thoroughly with clear water after cleaning and dry in the air or in a mask drying cabinet. Avoid radiant heat (e.g. the sun or a heater) and temperatures
over 45°C.
7.4.
Disinfection
Disinfection of all helmet parts is carried out in a disinfection bath using EKASTU disinfection materials (order no.: 266 942) following thorough cleaning.
Pay attention to the usage notes for the disinfection material. Rinse thoroughly with clear water and dry after removal from the disinfection bath
(see section above).
7.5.
Replacing the shotblasting protective helmet C4-PLUS and disposal
The helmet must be replaced as soon as it no longer provides the user with the protection as originally intended, i.e. if there is a hole or crack in the helmet.
Shotblasting protective helmets must be disposed of in accordance with the valid local waste disposal regulations. The local environmental and regulatory
agencies can provide this information.
8. Storage
Only store cleaned and functional helmets. They must be stored in dry, frost-free rooms in a normal climate. During this time they must be protected from
damaging influences such as direct sunlight, heat (over 45°C), cold (below 0°C), damp and substances that cause corrosion or attack rubber or plastics. This
is also valid for compressed air hoses for breathing air, which must also be handled and stored with care. All parts must be stored without any strains such as
pulling, pressure or other deformation.
Attention:
Never hang the device on its air supply hose. Only the loop on the connecting piece, designed for this purpose, may be used for hanging.
8.1.
Expiry date
The recommended limit of usage times for the shotblasting protective helmet C4-PLUS is 4 years.
The storage duration for the shotblasting protective helmet C4-PLUS is limited to 6 years. After this time the function in accordance with EN 397:2000 is no
longer guaranteed.
