Oil types

3.5 Engine maintenance - continued

Recommendations concerning oil

For best engine performance, we recommend

approved Kubota engine oils. Other high-grade

oils may be used if they have API, SL or higher

An Engine oil should have properties of API

classification, SL or higher.

Change the type of engine oil according to the

ambient temperature.

Above 25 C (77 F) SAE30 or SAE10W-30

SAE15W-40

0 C to 25 C (32 F to 77 F) SAE20 or SAE10W-30

0 C to -20 C (32 F to -4 F) SAE10W or SAE10W-30

When using oil of different brands from the

previous one, be sure to drain all the previous oil

before adding the new engine oil.

For more information: look at the Kubota manual.

Lubricating oil viscosity must be suitable for the

ambient temperature range for the climate in

which the machine is to operate. (Picture 1)
