Programming of up to
three user codes
Three programmable code numbers are
available to operate the coded lock.
Confirmation is effected by entering the
status option 1, 2 or 3 (see example).
---Enter current change code.
---Initiate programming by pressing the
- key.
---Enter desired user code status
(number 1 = first user code).
---Continue programming by pressing
the - key.
---Enter the desired user code. Any code
number with 4 digits can be selected.
---Confirm input by pressing the + key.
Programming of a second or third user
code must be effected in accordance
with the method described above.
Example: 2 5 1 3 - 1 - 5 2 3 1 +
= first user code „5231“
2 5 1 3 - 2 - 3 9 4 7 +
= second user code „3947“
2 5 1 3 - 3 - 9 2 7 8 +
= third user code „9278“
Keyboard-controlled permanent
door release
The permanent door release can be
actuated with user code 1. If the last
position is increased by 2 when entering
the user code (without carryover), the
door can be passed through as often as
required (permanent door release). Nor-
mal operation is resumed once the nor-
mal user code is entered again
Example: User code 1 „9278“
9 2 7 0 =
Continuous access status
9 2 7 8 =
Resetting of original door status
Incorrect input of code numbers -
disable period of 30 seconds
Within 8 key actuations, one of the four
correct four-digit codes must have been
entered. If not, the door is not released.
In addation, the keyboard is electroni-
cally disabled for 30 seconds (disable
period). Only after expiry of this period is
it possible to reattempt a correct input.
In case of appliance faults
Processor reset
Should a fault occur, it is possible to
reset the appliance. This is done by
briefly bridging the 2 pins positioned on
the appliance circuit board labelled
Processor reset (see the terminal dia-
gram). This processor reset induces a
software restart of the electronic system.
Any stored change codes or user codes
are not deleted as a result of this reset
and are not returned to the default setting.
Code reset
If a change code or user code is lost, it is
possible to carry out a reset by briefly
bridging the 2 pins labelled Code reset
(see the terminal diagram). This will
delete all three user codes and reset the
change code to the default setting ”0000”.
A restart of the Mini access-code door
control unit 421-.. is necessary and must
be carried out in accordance with the
directions on page 6 of these operating
instructions.
Care note
The 421-.. series door control unit should
only be cleaned with a moist cloth and a
mild, non-abrasive cleaning fluid.
