If more numbers are entered, or if input of
the entitled code is repeatet during the
door release time, the mini coded access
system switches to the error code function
( see the section ”Incorrect input of code
numbers- disable period of 30 seconds”).
Installation
Mini door code units are mounted in the
handle area next to the door frame. The
connecting cables for the 12 V voltage
supply, as well as the connecting cable for
the electric door release should also be
provided at this point.
The surface- mounted units (421-40) are
installed by fixing the appliances base.
The flush-mounted versions (421-42) are
supplied together with a plastic flush
mounting housing and a cover frame (See
provided sketch).

Compact access-code door
control units, series 421- ...
The all-electronic/microprocessor con-
trolled 421-series of compact access-
code door control units of the single-
channel type, provide for the control of
one door (one electric door release).
They operate in response to a numerical
code, which allows only authorized
persons to enter individual rooms.
To operate the unit, three programmable
4-digit code numbers are available. The-
se three code numbers can readily be
changed or adapted to new situations at
any time by means of a four-digit change
code. The entire electronic circuitry is
contained in a strong, metal housing.The
units require a 12 V power supply, to be
provided at the point of use.

Operation
The code numbers, which are entered by
means of the keypad, are converted into
electrical signals and transmitted to the
electronic control circuit, where they are
compared with the programmed data. If
access authorization is recognized, the
door release relay is tripped, permitting
access for 13 seconds (door release time).
