Front Panel Description
7.1 MAIN STATUS DISPLAY
The Main Status Display of the MMU-16LE
SmartMonitor
®
is used to display the current
status of the MMU-16LE
SmartMonitor
®
and navigate the menu levels. When the monitor is
not in the fault mode, the Main Status display will show current monitor status. When the
monitor is in the fault mode, the Main Status display will show the latched monitor status at
the time of the fault.
7.2 CHANNEL STATUS DISPLAY
Forty-eight Red
, Yellow
, and Green
icons are provided to display the complete
intersection status of the field signal inputs to the MMU-16LE
SmartMonitor
®
. If the unit is
operating normally without a fault condition present, the currently active field input signals
will be displayed.
When the MMU-16LE
SmartMonitor
®
is operating in the Type 12 mode, twelve indicators
for Walk
inputs are used to display active Walk inputs.
When the MMU-16LE
SmartMonitor
®
is in the fault mode, all channels that were involved
the fault will be indicated by the
▼
symbol.
7.3 FRONT PANEL LED INDICATORS
7.3.1 POWER INDICATOR
The POWER indicator will flash at a rate of 2Hz when the AC LINE voltage is below the
drop-out level. It will illuminate steadily when the AC LINE voltage returns above the restore
level. See Sections 2.6 and 8.1.3.
7.3.2 FAULT INDICATOR
The FAULT indicator will be illuminated whenever the MMU-16LE
SmartMonitor
®
is in the
fault mode and the OUTPUT relay has transferred to the Fault position.
7.3.3 DIAGNOSTIC INDICATOR
The DIAGNOSTIC indicator will illuminate when the MMU-16LE
SmartMonitor
®
has
detected an internal diagnostic failure. Due to the nature of these hardware/firmware
failures, other indicators that may also be displayed may not be valid for trouble shooting
purposes. See Section 2.8.
7.3.4 RECEIVE INDICATOR
The RECEIVE LED indicator will be pulsed each time a Port 1 SDLC message is correctly
received from the Controller Unit.
7.3.5 TRANSMIT INDICATOR
The TRANSMIT LED indicator will be pulsed each time a Port 1 SDLC message is
transmitted to the Controller Unit.
7.3.6 COMM INDICATOR
The COMM LED indicator will be pulsed each time an ECcom message is correctly
received on the EIA-232 Port or Ethernet Port.
