1. PRODUCT MOUNTING See “General Warnings” no.1 to no.6
For the installation of the product, refer to diagram 1 page 3.
2. HYDRAULIC CONNECTION see “General Warnings” no.10 to no.14
For the hydraulic connection of the product, refer to diagram 2 page 4.
- The supply pipes must be cleaned thoroughly before performing the hydraulic connection.
The connection on the hot water outlet must be undertaken using a cast iron or steel
sleeve or a dielectric pipe joint in order to avoid corrosion of the pipe (direct contact iron/
copper). Use of a brass joint is prohibited.
- Depending on the nominal pressure, a new 0.7 or 0.8 MPa (7 or 8 bar) safety device
measuring ½” or ¾” must be installed on the water heater inlet in compliance with the
standards in force (EN 1487 in Europe).
ATTENTION:
Every time the water is heated, an outflow occurs from the tap: do not
block this outflow. If supplied, the safety device does not satisfy the installation criteria
in France (mainland and DOM TOM overseas territories): do not use.
3. ELECTRICAL CONNECTION
For the electrical connection of the product, refer to diagram 3 page 4.
- The water heater can only be connected to and operated via a 220-240 VAC alternating
current. Connect the water heater using a rigid conductor cable with section 2.5 mm².
For this purpose, use a standardised pipe (fixed or fluted sheath) up to the calibrated
housing of the cover.
- Connect units fitted with a cable or outlet directly. In France, a product with a cable and
outlet is strictly prohibited and cannot be sold or installed.
- The earth conductor of the cable must be earthed or the earth wire must be connected to
the relevant terminal marked by the symbol
. This connection is essential for safety
reasons. The green-yellow earth wire must be longer than the live wires. The installation
must include an all-pole cut-off device upstream of the supply tank (contact opening
at least 3 mm: circuit breaker, fuse). If the hydraulic hoses are made from an insulating
material, the electrical circuits will be protected by a 30 mA differential circuit breaker
complying with the standards in force.
Thermal circuit breaker
(see diagram 5 page 5): All our products are fitted with a
thermostat with a manual-reset thermal circuit breaker which cuts the power supply to the
water heater in the event of overheating. If safety device is triggered
A:
Switch the power
supply off before any performing operation.
B:
Remove the cover.
C:
Check the electrical
connection.
D:
Reset the safety device. In the event of repeated triggering, replace the
thermostat. Never short-circuit the safety device or the thermostat. Only connect the
power supply to the terminal or the thermostat input.
