3.1.3 Advanced Chipset Features
This section gives you functions to configure the system based
on the specific features of the chipset. The chipset manages bus
speeds and access to system memory resources.
These items
should not be altered unless necessary.
The default settings have
been chosen because they provide the best operating conditions
for your system. The only time you might consider making any
changes would be if you discovered some incompatibility or that
data was being lost while using your system.
3.1.3.1 Performance Mode
This field is used to select an option that will boost performance
to your system.
User Define
This option allows you to manually configure the
“Chipset Enhancement” to “Memory Frequency
For” fields.
Fast
This option provides tighter DDR timing than
User Define. The CAS Latency Time, Active to
Precharge Delay, DRAM RAS# to CAS# Delay
and DRAM RAS# Precharge timing will be
tighter than User Define. ONLY use DDR400.
Turbo
This option provides tighter DDR timing than
Fast. The CAS Latency Time, Active to Precharge
Delay, DRAM RAS# to CAS# Delay and DRAM
RAS# Precharge timing will be tighter than Fast.
ONLY use DDR400.
