5.3.4 Cut and hold
The cut and hold is used to cut off the film after the wrapping cycle is complete, and to hold the other end of the film until
the next bale is turned twice.

The cut and hold is mounted along the driving table roller on the frame (1) screwed to the profile of the rotary frame. The
film is cut and held in place by the automatically controlled hydraulic system. The piston in the actuator (7) is pushed out
by means of the pressure in the hose (6), while the hydro accumulator (2) is used to push it in. The blade (3) is used for
cutting when the film is pressed against it by means of rubber buffers (4) and (5). The hydraulic fluid in the hydraulic accu-
mulator is throttled using a throttling valve (8). When the machine is started, the first cycle starts with the accumulation of
pressure in the accumulator, which is automatically repeated every 10 cycles.
