WARNING
• Shut off power at the circuit breaker or fuse panel before removing the
old fixture or installing the new one.
• LEDs can be damaged by electrostatic discharge (ESD) shock. Before
installation, discharge yourself by touching a grounded bare metal
surface to remove this hazard. To avoid damage, do not remove the
clear lens over the LED module.
CAUTION
•
DO NOT USE THIS FIXTURE WITH A DIMMING CIRCUIT.
If dimmer
controls are present, remove them and replace them with regular
electrical switches. If a three-way dimmer is present, replace it with a
regular three-way switch. If unfamiliar with electrical installations, it is
recommended a qualified electrician do the installation.
• This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC rules. Operation is subject
to the following two conditions: (1) This device may not cause harmful
interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference received,
including interference that may cause undesired operation.
Important Safety Instructions
WARNING
: To reduce the risk of FIRE, ELECTRIC SHOCK, OR INJURY TO
PERSONS:
1. Do NOT touch LEDs.
2. Do NOT remove the protective clear LED lens.
3. Do NOT look directly at lighted LEDs for any length of time.
4. Do NOT touch, operate, or install fixture while in contact with water.
5. For electrical requirements, see back of the fixture.
6. Do not leave bare wires exposed outside the wall canopy enclosure.
7. Suitable for wall mounting onto recessed electrical boxes rated for wet
locations. NOT suitable for ground mount installations or surface mount
electrical boxes.
SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS IN A LOCATION CLOSE TO THE FIXTURE TO
REFER TO THEM AT A LATER TIME.
Secure the threaded tube to the mounting bracket by using the
lock washer and large hex nut (
Fig. 1
). Leave approximately
1-1/4 in. of the threaded tube protruding beyond the front
surface of the mounting bracket.
1
There are two sets of machine screws. Attach the mounting
bracket to the electrical box using the appropriate machine
screws needed. Pull the existing electrical supply wires out of
the box to either side of the mounting bracket (
Fig. 2
).
2
For safety and proper operation, the fixture must be properly
grounded. If unfamiliar with the methods of properly grounding
the fixture, consult a qualified electrician. A copper ground wire
is pre-attached to the fixture. If the electrical box is made of
plastic and/or has a green or bare copper grounding wire
inside, the fixture grounding wire and the electrical box ground
wire should be connected using one of the wire nuts. If the
fixture is being connected using a flexible whip or NM cable,
the fixture grounding wire and the electrical supply ground wire
should be connected using one of the wire nuts. Connect the
supply leads to the fixture wire leads using the supplied wire
nuts. The black leads from the fixture go to the black supply lead
and the white leads from the fixture go to the white supply lead (
Fig. 3
). Tighten the wire nuts
properly to prevent the wires from coming loose. If unsure of tightness, tape the wire nuts to
the wire using electrical tape. (
Fig. 4
). Carefully push any excess wiring back inside the
fixture.
3
Remove the diffuser from the fixture by squeezing the tab on the
bottom of the diffuser while pulling the diffuser up and out of the
fixture (
Fig. 5
).
4
Position the fixture over the electrical box so that the protruding
threaded tube in the mounting bracket passes through the hole
in the fixture. Hand tighten the fixture to the electrical box with
the threaded cap (
Fig. 6
). Adjust the fixture to make sure it is
level before fully tightening the finial. The fixture should be
tightened up against the wall as close as possible.
5
Use silicone or other waterproof caulk around the outer
perimeter of the fixture pan to prevent water seeping into the
wiring compartment (
Fig. 7
).
6
Slide the diffuser into the fixture (
Fig. 8
) and
push on the tab at the bottom of the diffuser
so the diffuser locks into place (
Fig. 9
).
Restore power to the electrical box to make
sure the fixture is working properly. If
installed during the day, cover the
dusk-to-dawn sensor with your hand for approximately 30
seconds before the light will turn on.

Disconnect power to the electrical box and remove the old fixture. If more than two
wire leads are present, keep track of which wires were connected together.
Direct Wire Installation
IMPORTANT
: This light fixture uses light emitting diodes (LEDs) to provide
light. LEDs do not have a filament to burn out like a traditional light bulb.
LEDs gradually emit less light over their lifetime, but will typically last 36,000
hours in a residential environment.
Periodically clean the fixture and diffuser using a mild, non-abrasive cleaner
and soft cloth. When cleaning the fixture, make sure the power is turned off.
Do not spray cleaner directly onto any part of the fixture or LEDs.
Minor problems often can be fixed without the help of an electrician. Before doing any work
on the fixture, shut off power supply at the circuit breaker panel to avoid electrical shock.
