MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS

Maintenance should be carried out by persons over 18 years of age, with suf-
ficient understanding
!
Annual inspection of T&P valve:
- Open valve for 1 min. by lifting the lever (8) approx. 90 degrees to the open
position. CAUTION: Hot water will be released from the valve.
- Visually check that the water is flowing freely to the drain.
- YES = OK. Close the valve by setting the lever (8) back to the closed position.
- NO = NOT OK. Disconnect power supply and shut off water supply. Con-
tact installer or a Certified Licenced Professional.

Annual inspection of anode (9), first time after 6 months in service: Turn off
power and water supply. Release water pressure by opening a hot water
faucet. Unscrew anode, lift and inspect. Replace if anode is depleted (see
illustration ‘B’ above). Illustration ‘A’ (above) shows a new anode.

Constant voltage present in the junction box.
Before any electrical work is done, the power
supply must be disconnected and secured
against activation while the work is in progress.

WARNING
Increasing the water temperature in the water
heater increases risk of scalding.
5.1 Settings
5.1.1 Thermostat setting
The thermostat on the product is adjustable
from 45-75°C/113-167°F. The thermostat should
not be set lower than 65°C/149°F to prevent
bacteria growth.

To adjust the temperature:
A) Disconnect the power supply.
B) Remove the junction box cover (4) by un-
screwing the fastening screw (5).
C) Adjust the temperature on the thermostat
(7) with a screwdriver.
Re-fit the junction box cover before connecting
the power supply.
5.1.2 Resetting the safety thermostat
The safety thermostat on the product cuts out
when there is a risk of overheating. This is re-
set by removing the cover and pressing the red
‘RESET’ button (6). If the thermostat cuts out re-
peatedly, contact the installer.
