pouring it into the top of the Abrasive Blaster where it can flow around the Pop-up and into the
pressure vessel. Do not overfill the Abrasive Blaster. Do not allow foreign materials to enter the
Abrasive Blaster. It is recommended that a screen (provided) be used to prevent foreign objects
from entering the Abrasive Blaster.
Pressurizing the Abrasive Blaster
Before pressurizing the Abrasive Blaster make sure the following conditions occur:
•
All “BEFORE YOU BLAST” procedures have been followed.
•
The Remote-Control Handle (Deadman) is released.
•
All hose connections are secure and have a safety clip installed.
•
The Abrasive Blaster is set up in a safe and level location where all people in the vicinity are
aware of its presence.
•
All necessary safety equipment is present and being worn by all people in the vicinity of the
Abrasive Blaster.
•
Only personnel who have been thoroughly trained and have read and understand the
manual are in the vicinity of the Abrasive Blaster
When these conditions are met, turn on the compressed air source.
•
When the Deadman is activated, the plunger will raise, and the ECO-100 will be under
pressure. The pressure gauge will show the previously set pressure.
•
While the Deadman is still depressed turn the pressure regulator knob counterclockwise to
relieve pressure and turn clockwise to increase pressure.
•
Reactive the Deadman control on the blast hose while slowly turning the abrasive flow knob
counterclockwise.
•
Media flow will increase as knob is turned counterclockwise and decrease when knob is
turned clockwise.
•
After desired media flow is achieved the system is now ready to start blasting.
If needed, now activate water flow by turning water flow ball valve on the ECO-100.
