Heat “ON” Lamp Testing
When the heat
ON
lamp is on, but no heat is produced:
1. On current units the Division 2 indicating lamps are 12 VDC LED's and
should not require replacement for a very long time. However on older
vaporizers an incandescent bulb is used. Check the bulb and replace if
necessary.
2. Check for correct voltage on both sides of the mercury relay.
3. If the voltage is good go to “Testing the Heater Elements”.
4. If there is no voltage on the heater side of the relay check for 12 VDC on the
relay coil terminals.
5. If there is no 12 VDC: change the control board.
6. If there is 12 VDC: change the relay.
