ADJUSTING CARBURETTOR

WARNING
WHEN CARBURETTOR ADJUSTMENT IS
COMPLETED, BLADES SHOULD NOT MOVE AT
IDLE, OTHERWISE SERIOUS PERSONAL INJURY
MAY RESULT.
Every unit is test run at the factory and the carburettor is
fine tuned for maximum performance.
Before adjusting carburettor, clean or replace air filter,
start engine and run several minutes to bring it to operating
temperature.
CAUTION
When starting, idle speed adjuster should be
adjusted not to move the blades.
When there is some trouble with the carburettor,
contact your dealer.
1. Idle Speed Adjustment.
Start engine and turn idle speed adjustment screw
clockwise until the blades begin to move, then turn
the screw anticlockwise until the blades stop
moving. Turn screw anticlockwise an additional 1/2
turn.
2. Accelerate to full throttle for 2 to 3 seconds to clear
excess fuel from engine then return to idle.
Accelerate to full throttle to check for smooth
transition from idle to full throttle.

Clogged fins will cause poor engine cooling.

Clean deposits from silencer and tighten two bolts.

1. Carefully remove silencer cover.
2. Carefully remove recoil starter housing and clean
dirt and dust from fins.
3. Reinstall recoil starter housing and silencer cover.
