1. Hold trimmer firmly and squeeze throttle trigger to
accelerate engine.
2. Tilt trimmer so cutting teeth are angled slightly
toward the hedge or shrub and proceed to cut.
• Keep both hands on handles while engine is running.
• If blades jammed, stop engine, disconnect ignition
cable and clean blades.
• Do not overreach or stand on unstable surfaces.
• If blades strike an obstruction or are prevented from
functioning properly, stop engine and inspect blades
for damage.
• Do not operate the machine with a damaged or
excessively worn cutting device.
• To avoid damage, do not run at full throttle without
load.
• When two or more trimmers are being operated, keep
a safe distance between operators.
WARNING
• WHEN STARTING TO TRIM, RUN THE ENGINE
AT FULL THROTTLE.
• NEVER REMOVE HANDS FROM UNIT WHEN
BLADES ARE MOVING.
• THE ENGINE CONTINUES RUNNING EVEN
WHEN THE BLADES HAVE STOPPED DUE TO
AN OBSTRUCTION. IF THIS OCCURS, STOP
THE ENGINE, DISCONNECT IGNITION CABLE
AND REMOVE THE OBSTRUCTION.

NOTE
This unit is designed to cut shrubs and hedges with
branches no larger than 6 mm in diameter.
STOPPING ENGINE
1. Release throttle trigger and allow engine to idle.
2. Place ignition switch in “STOP” position.
WARNING
IF ENGINE DOES NOT STOP, MOVE CHOKE
LEVER TO CLOSED POSITION. CHECK AND
REPLACE THE IGNITION SWITCH BEFORE
STARTING THE ENGINE AGAIN.
