SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Read carefully and save for future use!
Warning
: The safety measures and instructions, contained in this manual, do not include all conditions and
situations possible. The user must understand that common sense, caution and care are factors that cannot be
integrated into any product. Therefore, these factors shall be ensured by the user/s using and operating this
appliance. We are not liable for damages caused during shipping, by incorrect use, voltage fl uctuation or the
modifi cation or adjustment of any part of the appliance.
To protect against a risk of fi re or electric shock, basic precautions shall be taken while using electrical
appliances, including the following:
1. Make sure the voltage in your outlet corresponds to the voltage provided on the appliance label and that
the socket is properly grounded. The outlet must be installed according to valid safety instructions.
2. Always use a grounded outlet 220–240 V~ 50/60 Hz to power the appliance.
3. Do not use the hot plate if the power cable or its plug is damaged.
All repairs including cord
replacements shall be performed by a professional service center! Do not remove protective covers
of the appliance, risk of electric shock!
4. DO NOT REPAIR a blown fuse yourself. The appliance should be brought to an authorized service center,
where the fuse would be replaced.
5. Protect the appliance against direct contact with water and other liquids, to prevent potential electric
shock. Never use this appliance close to a bathtub, shower, wash basin or other containers with water.
6. DO NOT USE the hot plate close to water or fl ammable liquids.
7. DO NOT USE the hot plate placed on hot surfaces or close to them. (Cooker, stove, etc.).
8. Do not use the appliance outside or in a wet environment and do not touch the power cable or the
appliance with wet hands. Risk of electric shock.
9. Make sure that the double hot plate is placed on a stable, secure surface to prevent it from overturning or
to prevent water from entering it.
10. We do not recommend using extension cords. They could overheat and cause fi re. If it is necessary to use
an extension cord, the crosssection of the cable wires should be 1,5 mm
2
or conform to the NO.14AWG
standard.
11. To prevent overloading and blowing fuses, make sure that there is no other appliance with high power
consumption connected to the same outlet or on the same circuit.
12. DO NOT PLACE the power cord under a rug or a blanket. Do not step on the power cord.
13. Do not allow the cord to touch hot surfaces or lead the cord over sharp edges.
14. Pay close attention when handling the appliance to prevent injury, for example, burning, scalding.
15. Do not use the hot plate close to fl ammable objects or underneath
them, e.g. close to curtains. The temperature of surfaces near the
operating appliance is hotter than usual. Place the hot plate away from
other objects to provide necessary distance. Do not put any objects on
the hot plate, avoid risk of burns.
16. Disconnect the cord from the electrical outlet prior to performing
maintenance. When disconnecting the power cable, pull the plug, not
the cable.
17. When cooking, do not use oil spray, use basting brush soaked in oil.
Be especially careful, because oil and fat can ignite when overheated.
When heating cans or other closed containers, always open the lid, otherwise there is a danger of explosion
because of the heat build-up inside.
18. Use the hot plate only according to the instructions in this manual. The manufacturer is not liable for
damages caused by the improper use of this appliance.
19. Never try to touch the hot surface of the hot plate before it cools down.
20. The appliance is not designed to be used with timers or any other remote control systems.
