INSTALLATION
HYDRAULIC CONNECTION:
The Pre ss•o•Matic must be installe d on the pump deli very side, either upright or horizontally and
re specting the flow d irection shown by the arrow on the c ove r. The pump ou tle t wate r flo ws through the
de vic e before be ing distributed to the various app liances connected.
The water th at enters the Pre ss•o•Matic unit must no t c ontain any impurities and/or othe r substance s that
could jam up the chec k valve fitted inside it. To reduce this risk as much as pos sible, it is ad visable to fit
spec ial filte rs on the intake side of the pump.
Install a sm all e xpansion tank (1-2 litre s) after the Press•o•Matic, to limit restarts c aused by any small
le akage s whic h are common in most syste ms. The pre -charge value of the tank must be suitable for the
pressure values set. This will also help to kee p the operation c onstant in applic ations where water
re quire ments are greater (e.g. for dishwashe rs, toilet flushing sys tems, etc .).
On no acc ount must a check valve be fitte d betwee n the Pre ss•o•Matic and the motor pump or be twe en
the device itse lf and the user applianc es, as it c ould c ause device malfunc tions.
A check va lve can be fitte d on the motor pump intake pipe , though, to preve nt i t draining whe n the pump
stops.
It is re commended that you do not install the equipme nt in shafts or watertight casing where heavy
condensation can form.
CAU TION: when the pump stops, the conduits are still pre ssured so a coc k must be opened to bleed
the system be fore any work is c arried out.
