2  About the product

The Sonix Hmi-Tu is an interface unit allowing all 

currently supported types of access panels to be 

connected into the Sonix PA/GA system. It provides 

operators with connections for up to 4 access panels 

and their associated outputs for controlling loudspeaker 

mute units. The unit requires no software configuration 

for typical installations but can be customised if 

required, please contact your local Eaton representative 

to discuss requirements.

The unit provides 4 ports that can be configured for 

either Hmi-26 or Hmi-5 connections. Each port also 

provides the phantom power for these access panels. 

The Hmi-Tu occupies a 305 mm by 118 mm footprint, 

and it clips into standard a TS35 or “top hat” rail. 

A separate Hmi-Filter is used as a signal conditioning 

unit for the audio and data connections from an Hmi-Tu 

to the Sonix 2Mx central controller.
