2.5 Personnel requirements
Only authorised and qualified personnel may carry out
work on or with the device. These personnel must have
been trained in possible hazards that may occur. A qualified
person is anyone who, based on his/her training, expertise
and experience as well as his/her knowledge of the relevant
provisions, is able to assess the work that he/she has been
given and to identify any potential hazards.
2.6 Work safety
Following the safety information and instructions provided in
this operating manual is essential to avoid bodily injuries and
property damage while working on and with the equipment.
2.2 Contents of the mounting and installation
instructions
Any person authorised to carry out work on or with the
equipment must have read and understood the operating
instructions before commencing work on the equipment.
This also applies if the person concerned has worked with
the same or similar equipment in the past or was trained by
the manufacturer.
2.3 Changes and alterations to the equip-
ment
In order to avoid hazards and to ensure the best possible
performance, no modifications, retrofits and add-ons are
permitted on the equipment unless these were expressly
approved by the manufacturer.
2.4 Responsibility of the operating entity
These operating instructions must be kept in the direct
vicinity of the equipment and must always be accessible to
people working on or with the equipment. The equipment
must only be operated if it is in an exemplary and operationally
safe condition. The equipment must be checked every time
before it is put into operation. The operating instructions as
set out in the manual must be complied with in full!
