Modicon Communication Driver Manual   

 

 
 

Possible Configurations 

Examples of possible configurations are described and shown below. 

Direct 

A direct connection to a Modicon 410 without the need for any additional modules uses RS232/RS422 
communications. 

 

 

Multiple Controllers 

The following figure shows multiple controllers connected on a network using RS422 
communications.  The RS422 communications allow a maximum of 16 Modicon 410s to be connected 
on a network.
