CARE AND MAINTENANCE

•

Gas odor with extremely yellow flame tips.

•

The heater does NOT reach the desired temperature.

•

The heater glow may be excessively uneven.

•

The heater makes popping noises.

•

Spiders and insects can nest in burner or orifices. This dangerous condition

can damage the heater and may be unsafe to use. Clean all burner holes

with a heavy-duty pipe cleaner. Compressed air is an alternative that may

clear away smaller particles.

•

Any carbon deposits can be a fire hazard. Clean the dome and burner screen

with warm mild soap and water if  any carbon deposits develop.

Note: Salty air environments, such as near an ocean, cause corrosion to occur

more quickly. If you are using the heater in this type of atmosphere, frequently

check for corroded areas and repair them immediately.

TIP: Use high-quality automobile wax to help maintain the appearance of

your heater. Apply to exterior surfaces from the pole down. Do not apply to

emitter screen or domes.

To maximize the performance and longevity of your heater, here are some

recommended best practices to maintain and clean your appliance:

•

Keep all exterior surfaces clean. Use a mild soap and water regularly and/or

after use.

•

Do not use any flammable or corrosive cleaning agents.

•

Never submerge the control valve assembly. If the gas control gets wet or

is submerged in water, DO NOT use it. This must be replaced immediately

before the next use.

•

Keep the appliance clear and free of any combustible or flammable materials,

such as gasoline, vapors, or liquids.

•

Do not block the flow of combustion and ventilated air.

•
