The Gland Nut Seal (18) prevents leakage of paint pass the Fluid Needle (9). This leakage reduces the

performance of the spray gun and must, therefore, be kept to a minimum. After a period of use the Gland

Nut Seal (18) will wear.  This is normal and can be compensated by gradual adjustment of the Gland

Nut (17). Periodically check to ensure the Gland Nut (17) is not loose. DO NOT OVER-TIGHTEN as

this will increase wear of the Gland Nut Seal (18). When necessary just tighten the Gland Nut (17) lightly

using a suitable wrench/spanner.

By tightening this Gland Nut (17) the inside diameter of the Gland Nut Seal (18) reduces thereby closing

any small gap that may have occurred between the Fluid Needle (9) and Gland Nut Seal (18), therefore

eliminating leakage.

Periodic Maintenance

THE  SPRAY  GUN  SHOULD  BE  THOROUGHLY  CLEANED  AND  THE  GLAND  NUT  SEAL

LUBRICATED  IMMEDIATELY  AFTER  EACH  USE.    IF  THE  PAINT  DRIES  INSIDE  THE  GUN

CLEANING WILL BE MUCH MORE DIFFICULT AND MAY RENDER THE GUN INOPERABLE. THIS

IS NOT COVERED BY THE GUARANTEE.

Flush out the residue paint from the spray gun as follows:

●

Remove the Paint Container (16) from the spray gun.

Pour any residual paint into its original container for future use.

●

Use a cloth soaked in thinners or water to wipe out excess paint from the container, the underside of

   the Lid (13) and Pick-Up Tube (15).

●

Pour a small quantity of clean thinners or water into the container, refit the container to the spray gun

   and shake the gun lightly.

●

Now spray all of the thinners or water through the gun.

●

Repeat this each time using clean thinners or water until there is no trace of paint in the fluid being

   sprayed.

To thoroughly clean the remainder of the spray gun, remove all working parts as per the exploded parts

view on page 4 as follows:

●

Loosen and remove Air Cap Ring (1), Air Cap (2) and Air Distributor Plate (3).

●

Unscrew Adjuster Cap (11) and pull out Fluid Needle (9) and Spring (10).

●

Use a 13mm wrench or spanner to remove the Fluid Tip (4).

After cleaning your spray gun and before fitting the needle, dip the tip into some petroleum jelly which

will act as a lubricant. The external surfaces of the spray gun can be wiped clean with a cloth soaked in

thinners or water.

Cleaning Instructions

The turbine unit only requires minimal maintenance.

●

Ensure its Filter (20) element is kept clean at all times.

This is the filter underneath the main body of the turbine. Disconnect the unit from the power supply,

turn on side and remove the Filter (20).

This can be washed out if necessary and replaced when dry. From time to time this filter will need

   replacing (Part No. L0058).

●

The turbine bearings are sealed and lubricated for life. There is no maintenance or adjustment

   required.

●

Clean the turbine and hose unit with a damp cloth after use.

●

The Air Hose (21) is stored by coiling it between the motor housing and hose cover.

●

The power cord is stored by wrapping around the base of the unit and locating the plug in the space

at the back of the unit.
