1. Proper use of the product
The tensioning strap is used to secure loads by way of tying down, cross tying or bundling of transported goods in or on vehicles or trailers. The tensioning strap may not be used for
lifting or towing.
The tensioning strap is not designed to be used by children or persons with limited mental abilities or without experience and/or lack of required specialist knowledge. Keep children
away from the tensioning strap.
Use according to the intended purpose also includes the observance of all information in these operating instructions, particularly the observance of the safety notes. Any other utilisati-
on is considered to be contrary to the intended purpose and may lead to material damages or personal injuries. EAL GmbH assumes no liability for damage resulting from improper use.

4. Safety precautions
• The warning triangle labels all instructions important to safety. Always follow these otherwise you could injure yourself or the strap/load may be damaged.
• Children may not play with the strap.
• Cleaning and user maintenance may not be carried out by children without supervision.
• Do not treat packaging material carelessly. This may become a dangerous plaything for a child!
• Only use this product for its designated purpose!
• Do not manipulate or dismantle the strap and ratchet!
• The tensioning strap may only be used to secure loads. The tensioning strap may not be used for lifting or towing.
• The tensioning strap may not be knotted.
• The tensioning strap may not be twisted, it should always take the load with the full width of the strap.
• Check the tensioning strap before each use. A tensioning strap with tears, cuts or abrasion damage may not be used. Dispose of such tensioning straps immediately.
• The tensioning strap may not be positioned over sharp edges and rough surfaces.
• No loads may be placed on top of the tensioning strap during transportation.
• Store the tensioning strap away from heat sources and protect it from prolonged exposure to sunlight.
• Use the existing lashing eyes to secure the tensioning strap. Make sure that other vehicle parts to which you secure the strap are suitable for such and display suffi cient
stability.
• At least 1.5 wraps must be placed around the ratchet to ensure suffi cient attachment.
• The permitted lashing capacity of 250 daN may not be exceeded.
• Remember that starting and braking manoeuvres, and wind action may result in increased loads.
• Check the secure lashing of the load at regular intervals during travel.
