4.1 Recycling
In EU member states, Switzerland and Norway, individuals can hand in their end-
of-life electronic equipment at specially-designated collection points, free of
charge. You can also hand over your end-of-life product at the point of sale should
you buy a new and similar product. If you live abroad, please contact your local
authority for more information about the disposal of end-of-life equipment. This
way, you ensure that your end-of-life products are properly processed, re-used and
recycled without impacting the environment or endangering public health.
WARNING
Utmost attention must be paid to traffic conditions, so use
the SMART-Trailer application on your smartphone only if the
situation on the roads allows you to do so - and only if the
application can be accessed safely.
PLEASE NOTE
Ensure that the device does not come into contact with
liquids. This could cause an electric shock. Contact with fluids
can negatively impact the device due to smoke development,
overheating and other damage.
PLEASE NOTE
Under no circumstances should modifications of a mechanical
or electronic nature be carried out on the E-Connect or
accompanying modules. This can be highly dangerous.
Moreover, warranty claims will not be acknowledged and
proper performance of the device can no longer be guaranteed.
WARNING
Prevent electric shocks, fire or explosions. Do not use damaged
electrical wiring, plugs or loose electrical connections. Do not
drop the device or cause it to short circuit.
PLEASE NOTE
Do not discard this product with the regular household waste.
A special legally-prescribed collection system is in place to
promote proper disposal, to render it re-usable or to recycle
used electronic products.
