• Do not store anything on the device’s weighing surface and always fold it up after weighing.
• Do not overload the scales! The device is only capable of weighing a maximum of 3 kg. Loads exceeding
3 kg cannot be weighed or displayed by the scales, and the product can be permanently damaged by
overloading: To avoid this, you must estimate the load to be weighed. The manufacturer shall not assume
any responsibility for damage resulting from overloading!
• This device is not supposed to be used by physically or mentally handicapped people, or persons without
experience or knowledge (including children, as well), unless such a person supervises or guides their use of
the device, who is at the same time responsible for their safety. As for children, supervision is recommended
to make sure that they do not play with the device. This device is not supposed to be used by children under
the age of 14, not even with supervision!
• Don’t use the appliance in the presence of explosive or inflammable gases, vapours or liquids.
• Never leave exhausted batteries in the appliance; always remove them.
• If there is no display after switching on, check the batteries are correctly inserted and making good contact
with the battery holder connectors.
• The glass weighing surface of the kitchen scales is very fragile and therefore must always be protected
from impact.
• Do not press the weighing surface of the kitchen scales by hand. Refrain from standing against or leaning
on it!
• Handle with care and use only your hands to operate the kitchen scale controls.
• The manufacturer shall not be liable for breakage or damage resulting from any modification, rough handling
or cleaning, battery leakage, incorrectly replaced batteries or neglect of any provision described in the user’s
manual.
• Take care not to drop anything onto the scales or to allow foreign objects to enter the cover openings or gaps!
• Do not store anything on the kitchen scales – the weighing surface must only be used for kitchen
(household) weighing.
• Always position the kitchen balance where it does not cause an obstruction to anyone using the kitchen.
Careful positioning and provision of adequate space for weighing will avoid unintentional damage to the
appliance. Always fold back the weighing arm after use.
• Attention! The appliance must not be disassembled, its casing must not be removed, or its repair attempted.
There are no parts inside the appliance that could be home repaired or used for any other purpose. In the
case of any defect of the appliance please have it repaired only by an authorised special service station. The
manufacturer does not undertake any warranty for any improper attempt at repair, or any intervention
performed by unauthorised persons.
