Start-up Checklist
Please Review This Checklist Carefully Before Operating the Mixer
Prior to, and during start-up, please check that the following things have been done:
1.
Manual has been read and followed
2. Drive coupling is fully engaged
(modular design only)
3. Sufficient protection for motor
(if outdoors)
4. Wiring correctly installed, grounded, and insulated
5. Impeller(s) installed correctly. See Installation Section
6. Impellers spaced correctly
(if two or more)
for maximum and minimum liquid levels
7. Impeller immersed in liquid and no equipment or obstructions can impact the impeller
8. Mounting Nut is threaded down and tight
(tote design only)
9. Proper shaft rotation
(counter-clockwise looking down, unless otherwise noted)
10. Correct voltage / amperage upon starting
Check against motor nameplate data: Record: Volts Amps
11. Excessive noise after start-up? Record: db @ 3ft
12. Excessive vibration of tank or support?
