FIRST TIME OF USE
1.
Please read through all the instructions before starting
to use the Dehumidifier.
2.
Unpack the Dehumidifier. Remove all the packaging
materials and dispose of them for recycling.
3.
Stand the Dehumidifier on a firm, even surface. Water
can damage furniture and floor-coverings and cause fire or
electric shock. Make sure the Dehumidifier is standing
securely so that it cannot tip over or fall off. Observe the
safety distances as described in Point 10 of the section:
“Important safety advice”.
DRAINAGE
The Dehumidifier has two ways of draining off the water.
PLEASE NOTE:
The condensation water that has collected
must not be reused.
Water tank 2.7 litres
1.
When the water tank (5) is full, the control lamp (4)
goes on. The dehumidification process is interrupted auto-
matically.
2.
Wait for about 30 minutes before removing the water
tank (5), so that any remaining water can drain off.
3.
Take hold of the side grips of the water tank (5) and pull
it out carefully using both hands.
4.
The water must
only
be emptied via the side opposite
the swimmer (7).
5.
Now push the water tank (5) back into its original posi-
tion using both hands, until it clicks audibly into place. The
control lamp (4) goes off.
6.
If the control lamp (4) does
not
go off, pull the water
tank (5) out again.
7.
Check that the swimmer (7) is correctly installed.
8. The swimmer must not be removed as otherwise the
automatic interruption of the dehumidifying process can-
not be guaranteed. Overflowing water can damage
objects and floor-coverings and cause an electric shock.
9.
Now replace the water tank (5) as described under
Point 5.
Continuous drainage
If you wish to install continuous drainage, please observe
the following instructions.
1.
Make sure that the Dehumidifier is switched off. Pull the
plug out of the power socket.
2.
Carefully remove the cover of the opening (15) with
pliers or a similar tool.
3.
Take out the water tank (5). Insert the drainage tube
(inner diameter 13 mm) into the opening (15) and push
the tube in. Press the tube tightly onto the water connec-
tion (16) inside the appliance. Make sure that the drainage
tube is firmly fitted onto the water connection (16) so that
it cannot become detached. (Fig. 1)
4.
Put the drainage tube into a drain. Make sure that the
tube is
slanting downwards
along its entire length, and
that it is not buckled, knotted or blocked, so that water can
flow off safely and unimpeded. Check the safe and leak-
proof fit of the drainage tube regularly.
5.
Push the water tank (5) back into its original position
until you hear it click into place, using both hands. The
water tank (5) must be mounted correctly as otherwise the
Dehumidifier will not function.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
1.
Insert the plug into the power socket.
Do not touch the
power cord with wet hands.
2.
Make sure that the air intake and air outflow vents (8+9)
are open. The air intake and air outflow vents (8+9) must
always be open when the Dehumidifier is running.
3.
Press the power key (2) to start using the Dehumidifier.
The power control lamp (3) lights up.
4.
Use the transport grip (11) and castors (12) when
transporting the Dehumidifier.
5.
To support the dehumidification performance, close
doors and windows in the room in which you are using the
Dehumidifier. When the appliance is used e.g. in the laun-
dry room, make sure that no water can drip onto or into
the Dehumidifier and observe the safety distances descri-
bed under Point 10 of
„Important safety advice“
.
6.
Before moving or storing the Dehumidifier, press the
power key (2) to the OFF position and pull the plug out of
the power socket.
7.
This Dehumidifier is equipped with an automatic defros-
ting function. This switches itself on at room temperatures
below 12°C to prevent ice forming. The Dehumidifier func-
tions cyclically and switches itself on and off.
CLEANING; MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE
We recommend you to clean the Dehumidifier regularly.
Follow the instructions for cleaning, maintenance and sto-
rage, so as not to impair the Dehumidifier’s functioning.
Daily cleaning
1.
Before you start cleaning, press the power key (2) to the
OFF position and pull the plug out of the power socket.
2.
Empty the water tank (5) as described under „Drainage“.
