6. SADDLE STITCHING PROCEDURE
If the stitching position is inside the stitching
prohibited area shown on the stitching position label
(
refer to page 18), folding misalignment may
occur. Change the stitching width using the
[Stitching Width Fine Adjustment key] and adjust
so that it is outside this area. (

58.)
Folding misalignment may also occur if the folding
side guides are set too narrow or wide.
Perform adjustments in the step mode again, and
check the position of the folding side guides.

If the booklet rides onto the folding side guide or
jams, gradually increase the value of “stitching side
jogger open timing” on the option menu.
The standard value is 0. (
Refer to page 61.)
However, paper may jam at the stitching section if
too many sheets of paper are fed.

When folded skewed
During use, rotate the lock dial in the counterclockwise direction while holding the folding stopper adjustment dial to
release the lock. Next, adjust the angle of the folding stopper using the folding stopper adjustment dial.
After adjustment, rotate the lock dial in the clockwise direction while holding the folding stopper adjustment dial
to lock it.
