5. PREPARING FOR OPERATION
Pressing the [Start key] of the upstream unit or this
machine conveys one set of paper from the upstream unit
to the stitching stopper.
To terminate the step mode halfway through, press the
[Stop key] of this machine.
Open the top cover and remove the paper remaining
inside the machine.

Stitches the set. The booklet is conveyed to the folding stopper and stops.
When set to “Fold Off” for side stitching (corner stitching), the booklet is ejected to the side
stitching stacker, and the step mode ends.

Note
Fine adjustments can be performed only within the range of ±5 mm/±0.20 inch after size change. If the paper size
entered and that actually used differ by more than 5 mm/0.20 inch, the difference is beyond adjustment. In this case,
enter the correct paper size again, and perform the size change.
Adjustments at the stitching section
Adjust the positions of the side jogger and back jogger for
aligning paper using the [Fine Adjustment key].

Perform jogging using keys

Adjust so that the joggers touch the paper edges lightly.
After adjusting, press the

[Stitch key].
Stitching is performed, and the booklet advances to the
folding stopper.
When set to “Stitch Off”, the set advances to the folding
stopper without stitching.
When set to “Side stitching (corner stitching)” or “Fold
Off”, the booklet is ejected to the side stitching stacker.
