Setting the Current Analog Scale
A combination of two internal DIP switches, DIP Switch S1 and DIP Switch S3, are used to select
the proper analog output for the CURRENT value of each channel. Although DIP Switch S1 and
S3 have eight individual ON/OFF switches labeled S1-1 to S1-8, only DIP Switch S1-7, DIP Switch
S1-8, and DIP Switch S3-7 are utilized. Analog output for the CURRENT value may be accessed
through PIN 12 of the MISCELLANEOUS I/O port or PIN 23 of the AUXILIARY I/O port for
CHANNEL 1 and PIN 8 of the AUXILIARY I/O port for CHANNEL 2. To change the analog output
for the CURRENT value on either channel:
1.
Turn the unit OFF via the
POWER
switch
2.
Remove the power cord and ion pump cable
3.
Remove the six screws along the edge of the top cover
4.
Carefully lift the top cover and disconnect the fan plug
5.
Remove top cover
6.
Locate DIP Switch S1 and DIP Switch S3
–

Once the Terranova® 752A is powered ON, the unit will commence the S
elf-Test.
Thereafter,
the control unit will resume normal operation.
Serial Communication
The SERIAL I/O 9-pin D-sub port allows the user to remotely query the Terranova® 752A to both
read and set parameter values and operate unit functions. Three different user-selectable serial
communication standards are available for data transmission: RS-232 [Default], RS-422, and RS-
485. The RS-232 format for communication with the Terranova® 752A unit is as follows:
