11 Routine Maintenance
1. Test Head Switch
The head switch feature is designed to prevent the
beater shaft from being accidentally activated. It is
essential that the proper operation of this switch
be verified on a routine basis. Use the following
instructions to test for proper operation:
A.
Be sure all switches are in the "OFF"
position.
B.
Disconnect the main power supply. The
freezer may have more than one discon-
nect switch.
C.
Remove the dispense head and beater
shaft assemblies.
D.
Connect the main power supply.
E.
Turn the selector switches to the
"CLEAN" position.
CAUTION
Moving parts. DO NOT place
hands in the freezing cylinder.
Severe personal injury could
result.
F.
Look inside the freezing cylinder
toward the rear. The beater drive shaft
should
NOT
be turning. Turn the
switches off and disconnect the main
power supply.
G.
If the beater drive shaft is turning, or
you are unable to determine whether or
not the shaft is turning, turn the
switches to the "OFF" position,
disconnect the main power supply and
contact your local authorized service
company.
DO NOT
place the freezer
in service until the problem has been
fixed.
2. Air Condenser
IMPORTANT:
Never use a screwdriver or sharp object to
clean between condenser fins.
Have air-cooled condenser fins cleaned by
authorized service technician.
3. Water Condenser
Check the outlet water temperature of water
cooled condensers at the floor drain. Water
temperature should be about 95
º
F (35°C) with a
70°F (21.1°C) water inlet temperature.
