DUKE Model 957R Soft Serve Freezer
H. C. Duke & Son, Inc. recommends the following schedule to help maintain your equip-
ment in like-new operating condition, as well as help protect your investment. Take the
time to learn and perform these routine procedures and receive in return many years of
valuable service from your freezer. Protect your investment!
11 Routine Maintenance
WEEKLY
1. Carefully inspect all parts for wear,
including, seals, O-rings, mix tubes, and
blades. Replace as required.
Replace blades if worn 3/16" or more.
2. Check the beater shank for wear.
A worn shank will have a nonparallel
shape on the drive opening.
CAUTION
To prevent bacteria growth,
remove all O-rings when
cleaning. Failure to do so could
create a health hazard.
1ST MONTH OF OPERATION
1.
Have gear reducer oil changed.
The initial gear reducer oil change should be at the end of 240 hours of operation (30 days for 8 hours
per day service, 15 days for 16 hours service, 10 days for 24 hours service).
DAILY
1.
Disassemble, wash, rinse, sanitize, air-
dry, reassemble and sanitize all parts
that come into contact with mix or
product.
`2.
Clean the cylinder and drain tube with the
appropriate brushes.
3.
Upon cleaning, inspect and lubricate all
seals and O-rings as described which
come in contact with mix. Replace worn,
torn, or loose-fitting ones.
4.
Wipe all exterior surfaces of the freezer,
removing any splattered mix.
5.
Check overrun and temperature of the
product.
