page 3/36

7.  SUPPLEMENTARY MAINTENANCE

7.1.  FRONT AND REAR BRAKES

HYDRAULIC SYSTEM

Maintenance should be limited to checking the level of brake fluid every

10,000 km

.

a lightness of the brake pedal could indicate there is air in the hydraulic circuit; in which
case have it checked and, if necessary, bled by an authorized assistance Centre.

NOTE:   The  brake  pedal  should  feature  a  minimum  empty  stroke  (approx  10  mm)

before enabling the hydraulic pump. If the pedal’s empty stroke is missing,
contact an authorized Assistance Centre immediately.

MECHANICAL SYSTEM (parking brake)

The parking brake is commanded by a mechanical system that acts on the back calipers
of the vehicle.
In case of scarce braking, to effect the recording acting on the special screws positioned
on the back calipers.
For the recording, it is advised to contact the technical staff.

BRAKE PADS

Check the brake pads’ condition every

10,000 km

 by inspecting the caliper.

The brake lining’s minimum thickness

should be no less than 2 mm

.

Replace  the  brake  pads  immediately  if  they  are  damaged  or  their  thickness  is  near  the
minimum permissible limit.
This inspection should be carried out at an authorized assistance Centre.

7.2.  FRONT AND REAR SHOCK ABSORBERS

The front shock absorbers are “non adjustable”.
The rear absorbers feature spring preload adjustment.
The shock absorbers are adjusted by turning the nut with the relative spanner.
Turning the nut clockwise increases the spring’s preload (enables greater load capacity).

IMPORTANT!   Adjust both shock absorbers equally, otherwise you can compromise

the vehicle’s stability.

7.3.   BEARINGS OF THE FRONT WHEELS

Check the condition of the front wheels’ bearings every

15,000 km

.

This inspection should be carried out at an authorized assistance Centre.
