4. Installation of the GSM antenna in the housing of the FLEX receiver
Correct installation of the antenna should be performed according to the points below.
Step 1:
Remove the receiver board from the housing.
Step 2:
Prepare the opening in the housing. Break out (e.g. with a screwdriver) the
weakening in the upper right corner (Fig. 4a).
Step 3:
Put the antenna cable through the hole with the washer and O-ring on (Fig. 4b-1).
Step 4:
Put the toothed washer and screw the nut on the antenna socket protruding from
the housing (Fig. 4b-2).
Step 5:
Direct the connector at the end of the antenna cable to the right (Fig. 4b-3).
Step 6:
Tighten the fixing nut on the antenna socket with a force that guarantees permanent
fixation (Fig. 4c). Too weak tightening of the nut may cause leakage in the housing and
incorrect positioning of the antenna cable.
Step 7:
Fix the receiver board in the housing.
Step 8:
Install the antenna (Fig. 4d).
