Proper Use / Warranty
• This product is designed to decorate outdoor areas around
the home, terrace, balcony and garden. The storage battery
charges during the daytime via the solar cell
fi
eld. The accu-
mulated energy allows the LED light to illuminate at night.
• The product is intended for private and not for commercial
use. Only use the product as described in the instructions.
Any other use is deemed improper. Store the instructions in a
safe place.
• Defects arising due to improper handling, damage or attempts
to repair are excluded from the warranty. This also applies to
normal wear and tear.
Important Notes
■
Risk of suffocation! Keep the packaging material away from
children and animals.
■
Children must be under supervision to ensure that they do not
play with the product. They could injure themselves with the tip
of the ground spike, among other things.
■
In the event of extreme weather conditions (e. g. storm, hail) or
if you do not use the product, turn off the solar unit and store
the product in a dry place.
■
Never submerge the product in water or other liquids! It is only
splashproof.
■
Do not disassemble the product (except for removing the sto-
rage battery prior to disposal of the product). Only have the
product repaired by a quali
fi
ed workshop or by the customer
service department.
■
Do not allow the product to fall and do not subject it to severe
percussions.
■
Do not use the product if it exhibits visible damages.
■
If the storage battery leaks, make sure that the battery acid
does not come into contact with your skin, eyes, or mucous
membranes. In case of contact with battery acid, rinse the af-
fected area immediately with plenty of clean water and seek
immediate medical attention.
■
The storage battery may not be disassembled, disposed of in
fi
re, immersed in liquids or short-circuited.
■
Ensure that the solar
fi
eld is always clean for the greatest pos-
sible collection of light. Therefore, clean it occasionally with a
damp cloth.
Do not use any scouring or abrasive cleaners
to clean the product!
They could damage the surface.
■
To ensure it activates automatically, the solar light may not be
situated near other light sources such as street lamps or other
lamps.

Start-up
The solar unit’s storage battery must charge for
approximately 6 – 8 hours in order for the LED to illuminate.
1. Unpack the product contents and remove all protective wrappers
and stickers, if present. Check all parts for possible transport
damages. Should you identify any transport damages, please
promptly consult the customer service department.
2. Take the solar unit out of the lamp
shade.
3. The On- / Off-switch is located on
the solar unit. To activate the prod-
uct, set it to position
ON
.
4. Place the solar unit back into the
lamp shade.
5. Place the lamp shade into the lamp
shade holder.
6. Put the ground spike into the lamp shade holder.
7. Mount the solar light in a place where it can collect direct sun-
light during the whole day preferably (ideally in open areas, not
underneath trees etc.). Insert the ground spike in the ground.
Make sure that it is securely anchored in the soil.
8. Switch off the solar light when it is not used for a longer period
of time. To deactivate it, set the switch to position
OFF
.
The storage battery can now be charged by the sunlight. At dusk,
the solar light will automatically turn on. At dawn, the solar light
turns off and the storage battery recharges via the solar cell
fi
eld.
Disposal
The packaging material can be recycled. Dispose of the
packaging in an environmentally-friendly manner and make
it available for the recyclable material collection-service.
Dispose of the product in an environmentally-friendly
manner. The product does not belong in the household
garbage. Dispose of it at a recycling centre for old electrical
and electronic appliances. For more information, please
contact the administration in your community.
The storage battery must be removed and disposed of
separately before disposing of the product: The storage
battery is located in the solar unit. Remove the black
protection cap from the battery compartment and take out
the storage battery.
To protect the environment, batteries and storage batteries
may not be disposed of together with normal household
waste. Instead they must be turned in at collection points.
Also be sure to observe applicable legal regulations on
battery disposal.
