Toaster
• Regularly empty the crumb tray of the toaster:
1. Remove the crumb tray carefully.
2. Remove the crumbs. Wipe down the tray with a damp cloth if necessary or rinse
it with a mild detergent under running water.
3. Dry the tray thoroughly.
4. Reinsert the crumb tray.
Kettle
• Remove the limescale
fi
lter from the kettle regularly and
rinse it with a mild detergent under running water.
To remove the
fi
lter, press down the locking catch on its
upper edge and remove it from its holder.
To reinsert the
fi
lter,
fi
rst push its lower tip into the holder
on the inside of the pouring spout. Then press the
fi
lter
against the wall of the kettle until the locking catch engag-
es. For this to happen, the locking catch must be pressed
up slightly with a
fi
nger.
Coffee Machine
1. Remove the permanent
fi
lter from the device and dispose of the coffee dregs.
2. Also remove the
fi
lter holder and rinse both parts as well as the coffee pot with lid
with a mild detergent and warm water.
3. Allow the permanent
fi
lter and
fi
lter holder to dry completely before inserting them
into the device again.
Descaling the Kettle and Coffee Machine
You should regularly remove water limescale deposits with a descaling agent in accord-
ance with the water quality in your area and how often the device is used.
Follow the instructions provided with the descaling agent to descale the kettle.
To descale the coffee machine, proceed as follows:
1. Fill the water reservoir up to the
max
marking with water and descaling agent (to
fi
nd out how many parts water to descaling agent you should use, please consult the
instructions for use of the descaling agent).
2. Place the coffee pot with the lid closed onto the hotplate.
3. Switch on the coffee machine. After a moment, water will automatically trickle through.
4. Once a quantity equivalent to around one cup has run through, switch off the device.
5. Allow the mixture to take effect for 15 minutes and then repeat steps 3 to 5.
6. Switch on the machine and allow the machine to run until there is no longer any
water left in the water reservoir.
7. Then thoroughly
fl
ush through the coffee machine by operating the device at least
3x with clear water.
