Safety Instructions

This product is a decoration. It is
not
a toy!

The product is designed for domestic use and is not intended for
commercial use. Only use the item as instructed. Any other use
is deemed improper.

ATTENTION: Risk of suffocation! Keep the packaging away from
the children and pets.
❐
ATTENTION: Swallowing batteries poses a risk of death! There-
fore keep batteries and the product out of the reach of children
and pets. Should a battery be swallowed seek medical help im-
mediately.

Before inserting the batteries check that the contacts in the can-
dles, in the remote control and on the batteries are clean and, if
necessary, clean them.

Use only the batteries speci
fi
ed in the technical data.
❐
Always replace all batteries at the same time. Do not mix diffe-
rent types or brands of battery or batteries of varying capacities.
When changing the batteries, ensure that the polarity (+ / –) is
correct.
❐
Remove the batteries from the candles and the remote control
if they are used up or if you are not using the product. This will
prevent damage which can be caused by leakage.
❐
If a battery has leaked, avoid contact of the battery acid with skin,
eyes and mucus membranes. In case of contact with battery acid,
rinse the affected area immediately with plenty of clear water
and seek a doctor at once. Take any leaking batteries out of the
product immediately. Clean the contacts before inserting new
batteries.

The batteries should not be recharged or reactivated by any
other means, taken apart, thrown on a
fi
re, immersed in liquid
or short-circuited.
❐
Do not subject the product to extreme temperatures, severe
changes in temperatures, direct sunlight or moisture.
❐
Keep a suf

cient distance from heat sources, e. g. hobs, ovens,
fi
re places or burning candles.
❐
Do not allow the product to fall and do not subject it to strong
percussions.
❐
Only use the product in enclosed areas.
❐
Ensure that the product does not fall in water or is at risk of
getting wet. When cleaning, dust off the product with a soft, dry
cloth. Heavily laden dirt can be wiped off with a damp cloth.

Store the product in its original packaging in an area that is out of
the reach of children and pets and that is not exposed to direct
sunlight.
❐
In the event the product is defective, do not attempt to repair it
yourself. In the event of damage, contact the customer service.
Warranty Provisions
Defects caused by improper handling, damage or attempts at repair
are excluded from the warranty. This also applies to normal wear
and tear.
Product Contents
• 4 candles (height: 7.5 cm, 10 cm, 12 cm, 15 cm)
• 12 batteries, 1.5 V, type AAA (already inserted)
• 1 remote control with 3 V lithium button cell, type CR2032 (al-
ready inserted)
Unpack all parts. Check that the product contents are complete and
that they do not exhibit any transport damages. Should you identify
any transport damages, do not use the product (!), instead please
promptly consult the customer service.
Hold onto the packaging to store the product when not in use.
Use
ATTENTION:
Before the

rst use
, remove the protective strips
from the battery compartments of the candles and the remote control.
• Push the switch on the bottom of the candles to the
ON
position
to activate the candles.
• After that, you can turn the candles on (
ON
button of the remo-
te control) or off (
OFF
button of the remote control) using the
remote control.
• Push the switch on the bottom of the candles to the
OFF
positi-
on to deactivate the candles again.
Changing batteries
For the candles
1. The respective battery compartment is located on the bottom
of each candle. Press the catch toward the battery compartment
cover and remove the cover.
2. Remove the empty batteries and insert new 1.5 V batteries,
type AAA. Pay attention to the correct polarity (+ / –).
3. Fit the battery compartment cover again and press it down until
it engages audibly.
For the remote control
1. The battery compartment is located
on the base of the remote control.
Use a
fi
nger nail to press the catch
in against the battery compartment
and at the same time pull the battery
compartment out.
2. Remove the empty battery and in-
sert a new 3 V lithium button cell,
type CR2032. The positive terminal
must point upwards.
3. Carefully reinsert the battery compartment and push it into the
remote control case until it clicks home.
Troubleshooting
Problem

• Are you standing too far away from the candles?
The range of the remote control is approx. 4 m.
• Are the switches of the candles in the OFF posi-
tion? Push the switches to the ON position.
• Are the batteries of the remote control and / or
the candles wrongly inserted or too weak? Insert
the batteries correctly or replace them with new
ones.

Disposal
Dispose of the packaging material in an environmentally-
friendly manner. It is recyclable. Make it available for the
recyclable material collection-service.
Dispose of the product in an environmentally-friendly man-
ner. It does not belong in the household waste. Dispose
of it at a recycling centre for old electrical and electronic
appliances. For more information, please contact the admi-
nistration in your locality.
The batteries must be removed before disposal of the pro-
duct and disposed of separately. To help protect the envi-
ronment, single-use and rechargeable batteries should not
be disposed of with normal domestic waste but should be
taken to an appropriate collection point. Please observe the
statutory regulations applicable to battery disposal in your
country.
